Non-School Design Work

Here are some Design works that I have done outside of school.

1. No Photography/Video Camera Sign

Project: My boss wanted me to create a new sign for Sophie's Crepes, a Japanese crepe food store, to show that we don't allow photography and video cameras being film or taken of the crepe machines and the co-workers making crepes. She wanted a picture of a camera and a video camera with a circle and line through it to show we don't allow these being taken.

Solution: When I was creating this design, I thought instead of using a picture a camera and video camera, I would create silhouettes of them. I was inspired from when I saw the no photography sign for the SF Japantown - Kinokuniya Book Store's that had a silhouette of a camera with a red line and circle on it, but it had no video camera added. So I use Adobe Illustrator and use the shape tool in black color to create the silhouettes of a camera and a video camera. I chose Cooper Black style for the font style because the text is bold so that people can read it clearly and from far away.
